1980年代初就读于北京大学法律系经济法专业

2002年美国威斯康星大学法学院毕业留校工作至今。

胡女士在威斯康星大学法学院工作期间，主要负责威斯康星大学法学院研究生招生及与亚洲国家的对外交流。

十七年来，她还组织和参与了威斯康星州最高法院、威斯康星国际法律研究院、威斯康星大学法学院与中国上海市高级人民法院等多省市高级法院合作举办的十五届法官培训。
